About

I'm a full-stack engineer and engineering leader in Disney Decision Science and Integration (DDSI) at The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, FL. My main product group builds the ad sales and B2B forecasting workbenches for Disney's cable and digital media content.

2023 – now
I built and shipped two DDSI products for any GitLab repo: an AI code reviewer and a multi-tenant hosting platform on AWS. The reviewer has run thousands of reviews across dozens of projects. Since 2023 I've led and mentored 5+ people, first as Application Engineering Manager and now as Lead Application Engineer (the same role, retitled). Other areas of DDSI get answers and decisions from me or from what I've built. I also help pilot AI-assisted development for my area.
2020 – 2023
I first contracted with Disney in 2020, leading the integration of data-driven automated testing and the team's move to remote Docker containers. I returned in 2021, went from contract to full-time Senior Application Engineer, and moved into engineering leadership in 2023. Along the way I implemented the design pattern for digital media sports forecasting. Then I led the Django and AWS Lambda project that applies it to another team's entertainment forecasting.
2014 – 2021
From 2018 to 2021 I ran my own company, TD CODE, building software for BrandCo and other clients. Its projects included a payroll data-entry program for 100+ crew members and a Chrome extension for real estate agent onboarding. Before that, at RSR Group, a small team and I augmented and decomposed a COBOL system. Earlier, at BrandCo, I rose from associate to senior developer in under three years. There I built Cue and led the development, support, and project management teams.
Volunteering
I also volunteer. I've served five years on the Technology Committee for DDAC, the Disney Data & Analytics Conference, helping run its website and attendee app, and I'm already at work on the next one. And since spring 2025 I've worked on a ground-up rebuild of the Riders Club of America platform: 90+ pages and 70+ Django models.

    • Built and shipped DDSI's AI code reviewer for GitLab (Amazon Bedrock): automated reviews when a merge request opens and on each later commit, meta reviews and insights, and on-demand commands from merge-request comments; thousands of reviews across dozens of onboarded projects.
    • Built the reviewer's command framework on Amazon Bedrock (one prompt-construction and orchestration file per slash command, more than a dozen so far) and its home, about, guide, and story pages. Also built its FinOps dashboard (process-run breakdowns, cost attribution) and a Bedrock lab with GitLab and the reviewer on one page.
    • Designed the reviewer: language-agnostic through AST parsing across many languages, grounded in a knowledge base with RAG embeddings, and self-improving, as contributor feedback tunes each signal's confidence threshold until it becomes a learned rule; FrugalGPT-style model cascading keeps inference costs down.

    • Built and launched DDSI's multi-tenant hosting platform on AWS, including AWS Cloud Map: any GitLab repo goes live on a Streamlit, Python, Dash (Plotly), or JavaScript runtime, with a growing set of apps already live.
    • Led and mentored 5+ people since Dec 2023 as Application Engineering Manager (retitled Lead Application Engineer in 2026) and resolved questions and decisions for other areas of DDSI, directly or through work produced.
    • Help pilot generative-AI-assisted development for my area of DDSI, bringing in tools like Cursor, Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot, and Claude to accelerate delivery.
    • Build the ad sales and B2B forecasting workbenches for Disney's cable and digital media content, where digital media forecasting is mainly sports.
